Father's Day is celebrated worldwide to recognise the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children. Although it is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide, many countries observe this day on the third Sunday in June. From what I can 'google' only became official in 1972. Moms day, and of course a far more important celebration, became official in 1914. Is that right?
The ideal gift for most dads would be to just spend more time with their children. But, for those of you who are looking for "buck for their love" from their dads, here are some of the top-secret ideas. Breakfast (burnt bread is a win) home-made or my favourite - singing greeting cards (thanks dad) and cheap "Builders Warehouse aisle" male-oriented electronic and tool gifts will do!
For me - I get to watch my favourite yellow submarine movie with my gals agaaaaaaaaain. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.
Happy Fathers' Day, and on this Youth day, also remembering Kenny's birthday.
"Love you dad"
