Remembrance Day, or Poppy Day as it is sometimes known, is observed every year on 11 November, or on the nearest Sunday to that date. The observance of 11 November is not about celebrating any victory, nor about boasting about achievements in conflict.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. - LAURENCE BINYON
Remembrance Day is about showing respect for ALL of those who voluntarily or involuntarily were willing to serve their country and, if need be, to make the ultimate sacrifice so that we who are here now can have the life that we know. My family's legacy of service is generational. In the picture above, my cousin Connor, remembers his grandpa - Major Robert Thom.
We will remember you.
