Changes and Enhancements to Discovery Health 2015

Discovery Health Medical Scheme is South Africa's largest and most stable medical scheme, with over 2.6 million members, the widest plan range, over R11 billion in reserves and the highest possible credit rating (AA+) for their ability to pay claims.

General health and benefit update:

• An average increase of 9.7% for 2015
• Executive plan increase at 10.9%
• Co-payments or deductible increased in line with annual contribution increase
• Annual threshold – increased by 10.9% for Comprehensive plans
• All other plan thresholds have increased in line with annual contribution
• Oncology thresholds remain unchanged
• Internal prosthesis increased in line with surgical inflation
